Steve Conte gives a masterclass week for guitarists and songwriters of all levels.Drawing on his invaluable experiences from around the world with many famous artists you will gain insights, tricks of the trade and a deeper understanding of how rock ‘n roll and its main carrier, the song and its main weapon, the guitar works for you.
Steve Conte takes you on a journey through essential rock ‘n roll history.
His energetic presence and vast knowledge are a true treasure, and this week gives you the chance to take a peek into his “library.”
Exercises in the art of writing and guitar playing, enhanced by Steve’s personality, guarantee you an unforgettable week!
In this challenging, yet achievable week, you will deepen your level of understanding of how songs work and how the guitar will work for you rather than the other way around. There will be a focus on the larger idea behind songs. How do you translate a big idea into a 3 to 4 minute song. Are there certain voicings that express your ideas? What is the relevance of a guitar solo and how do you start a good one? Steve’s approach is no nonsense and yet unique and as such loved by many.
What is included in the price?
Our Masterclass package looks as follows:
• Arrival on Sunday from 3pm, departure Saturday 12pm.
• Six nights’ accommodation in one of our luxurious private rooms (see our country house page).
• Monday through Friday daily joint workshops and lectures, in addition plenty of room for individual advice, independent work and relaxation.
• Maximum of 15 participants per week, lots of individual attention.
• Welcome drink and light snack on day of arrival.
• From Monday to Friday full board with breakfast, lunch and dinner.
• Including all non-alcoholic beverages.
• Sunset trip on catamaran, including barbecue and drinks on board.
• Access to the beach at Delfins Beach Resort from Monday to Saturday.
• Transfers to and from the airport.
• Assistance in booking car rental, extended stay on the island or other activities with our partners.

About Steve Conte
Steve Conte has a strong presence on the American and international music scene.The list of people he has recorded, toured and written with is endless. He was a member of The New York Dolls and Willy DeVille, toured and recorded with Billy Squier, worked with Simon & Garfunkel, Blood Sweat & Tears, and currently still plays with Hanoi Rocks frontman Michael Monroe, who is touring with Guns ‘n Roses and Alice Cooper this summer. Not to mention stints with Willie Nile, Chuck Berry, and Peter Wolf (J.Geils Band).He is also a Wicked Cool Records recording artist, and thus knighted by Steve Van Zandt.His variety of work combined with incredible musicianship and amazing guitar technique makes him a true maestro.
